Enum TextEntryTriggers

Namespace
PluginUI
Assembly
PluginUI.dll

User actions that open the in-place text box of a value control (Knob, Slider) so that a value can be typed instead of dragged. Combine flags with |; set TextEntryTriggers to None to disable typing.

[Flags]
public enum TextEntryTriggers

Fields

None = 0

Typing a value is disabled.

DoubleClickOnValue = 1

Double-click on the value text (below a knob, beside a slider).

AltClick = 2

Alt + left click anywhere on the control.

RightDoubleClick = 4

Double-click with the right button anywhere on the control.

EnterKey = 8

Enter key while the control has the keyboard focus.

DoubleClickAnywhere = 16

Double-click anywhere on the control opens the text box (takes precedence over ResetOnDoubleClick; Ctrl+click still resets).

Default = DoubleClickOnValue | AltClick | RightDoubleClick | EnterKey

Default: DoubleClickOnValue | AltClick | RightDoubleClick | EnterKey.

Remarks

Typed numbers always use a point as decimal separator (see InvariantNumber); a rejected text keeps the box open with a red frame.

Double-click has two meanings on a value control: on the value text it opens the text box (DoubleClickOnValue), elsewhere it resets to the default value (ResetOnDoubleClick). DoubleClickAnywhere gives the text box priority everywhere, which is useful when the value text is hidden.
